Singlife x TomoWork: Championing an Inclusive Future

The Initiative and Its Purpose
Singlife is running a fundraising campaign with Community Chest in support of TomoWork, a Singapore charity that helps persons with disabilities (PWDs) and students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) build skills and access meaningful career opportunities. Singlife has partnered TomoWork since 2022, and under the partnership supports TomoWork's flagship Talent Accelerator Programme (TAP), which equips graduating students with disabilities and special educational needs with career-ready skills, as well as the Talent Explorer Programme (TEP), which introduces students to potential career paths in an inclusive and interactive environment.
To amplify the impact of every contribution, Singlife will match donations to the campaign on a one-to-one basis, up to a cap of $10,000. This effectively doubles the value of each dollar given and is intended to encourage broad participation – signalling that Singlife is not merely inviting others to give, but giving alongside them.
The campaign reflects Singlife's belief that financial freedom and dignity begin with the opportunity to work. As a financial services company, Singlife sees a direct line between employment, financial independence and long-term wellbeing – and recognises that young people with disabilities and special educational needs continue to face disproportionate barriers at the point of transition from school to work. Rather than treating inclusion as a one-off gesture, Singlife has chosen to invest in a sustained, multi-year partnership that addresses that transition point directly. All contributions to the fundraiser are channelled through Community Chest to help expand the reach of TomoWork's initiatives such as TAP and TEP.
Who it Benefits and Engages
The primary beneficiaries are graduating students and recent graduates with disabilities and special educational needs from Singapore's Institute of Technical Education and polytechnics, as well as university undergraduates with disabilities. TAP runs in collaboration with ITE and all polytechnics in Singapore, and TomoWork's programmes support participants across a range of disability types including visual impairment, physical disabilities, hearing loss, autism spectrum disorder, ADHD and dyslexia.
The campaign also engages Singlife's own community. Employees, financial advisers, customers and business partners are invited to give – with the knowledge that their contribution will be matched dollar for dollar. In doing so, the campaign builds awareness of disability inclusion within Singlife itself.
Timeline
The campaign launched in October 2025 and will run until the end of October 2026, with Singlife's one-to-one matching in place throughout the campaign period up to the $10,000 cap. As of 11 August 2026, donations have reached $6,101 (excluding matching).
Intended outcomes
Singlife hopes the campaign, together with its matching commitment, will help support TAP and TEP, giving more students the training, mentorship and industry exposure they need to enter the workforce with confidence. Beyond the dollars raised, Singlife aims to deepen employee participation in the cause, normalise conversations about disability inclusion in the workplace. Ultimately, the intent is to help build an ecosystem in which young people with disabilities are not simply supported, but genuinely employed, valued and financially independent.
